This cruise was one we had planned for a long time.
We flew into Sidney, Australia, and caught the Sun Princess for a cruise around New Zealand.
The crossing from Australia to New Zealand was fairly rough and when we got there we had to hide in the Tasman Straights from a storm.
Because of the rough weather, we missed two "ports"... the Fijords on South Island and Akaroa on the North Island.
Otherwise we hit all the other ports and had decent weather in most places.
The Sun Princess was scheduled for a complete make-over after the next voyage and it needed it.
Because of its work in the "tropics," some of the hallways had a mildewed smell.
However, the crew was good and our first trip to Australia and New Zealand was a success.
